Finishing the Two Sheet Wonder
And finally the last 3 cards! Can you believe I'm on cards 13-15?!? If you're new to my blog - check out how I started my Two Sheet Wonder.
Card set #4 - Two Sheet Wonder |
For card #14 I took the opportunity to finally put that watercolor paper to use. I've done watercolor before, but not on cards. These are some of the pieces I completed back in July 2017.
Watercolor can be a lot of fun, so I was excited to use it on my current card. I had never tried to complete it with a water brush and ink, so it was a little different from my previous work. I really enjoyed putting the two together.
For the layout, I chose to use a sketch with some fun angles. I chose one with a large center area so I would have a large enough area for the stamp I had chosen. I flipped and rotated the sketch for the card.
I love this retired set, From the Herd, from Stampin' Up. I spent part of my youth living on a farm and truly enjoyed hanging out with the animals and seeing their personalities. We raised goats for a while and I would play hide-n-go-seek with them in the tall grass. This stamp totally gives each of the animals' personalities too. Can't you just see them playing birthday party games? 😂
Card #13, Two Sheet Wonder - "Just for you from the herd" |
Card #14 uses mostly lines in different ways to counter each other. I love the varying angles of the stripes. The angles pull you into the birthday sentiment. I stamped "Birthday Wishes" from Sincere Salutations (Stampin' Up) then used their Everyday Label Punch and added a mat in grey cardstock. Overall the card is fairly simple and to the point and I can easily use it for a masculine birthday.

And finally, my last and final card from this project for a total of 15 cards. Card #15 uses the adorable Party Pandas stamp set from Stampin' Up. Pandas always remind me of AOII and this is a fantastic, fun set. I created the circle background with Simple Shapes from Stampin' Up by inking the stamp and then spraying it with water to create a varying tone. I cut the balloon from a sheet of silver glitter paper and added some bling as the bottom of the balloon and throughout the background.

That's it! 15 cards from 2 sheets of design paper! What do you think? Do you have the blues too now?
