The One Sheet Wonder

Some time ago I ran across something that intrigued me called the "One Sheet Wonder."  The idea was that you would take a single sheet of 12x12 paper and use every inch of it to make a batch of cards.

Challenge accepted.

My first One Sheet Wonder!

I liked the layouts used by Joanne Mulligan so I grabbed a 12x12 sheet of designer paper and got cracking!  I started by cutting the paper into the pieces she specifies in her template.

Next I chose some complimentary pieces to go with it including some stamps, embellishments and designer paper.  I combined my chosen designer paper with solid cardstock in Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and Night of Navy from Stampin' Up.  My sentiments and background images also came from Stampin' Up and their sets:  Label Love, Heartfelt Thanks, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Simply Wonderful, Sincere Salutations and Better Together.  Ribbons in Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Night of Navy along with pearls and gems add a little spunk to each card.  (I love some ribbon and gems!)  I tried to stick with a rustic look and was super pleased with how they came out.  What do you think? =)
